Hoy es.... Jueves!!

Hola Reader,

Today I've been thinking it would be a cool thing to study abroad for a year. This idea was founded in Sociology class- just now actually! It would be cool to go somewhere like New Zealand or England or maybe Australia. I feel the need to learn about other cultures and widen my world view. You see, Reader, I have such a narrow scope. Born and raised St. Charles. I know I want to reach people anywhere I find them with the gospel, but how can I reach them if I don't know how to relate to them.
Here's what I'm saying, just to clarify.
I was speaking about God's unconditional love to someone who has never known love. She's from Japan and things are much different on the other side of the globe. I wanted to give her the example that when a married couple has an argument they choose to love each other, even though they may not feel love. Only when I began to say, "You know how when two people get married, they love each other very much." She stared at me with confusion. Things are so much different! Because I didn't know her culture, I found that it was harder to relate Jesus to this love-depraved girl.
So, for this reason I would like to pray to God to show me what He has for me.
Sometimes its simply hard to listen in to His direction. I'm finding that so true in college. That it's harder for me to see the pointed finger when so much is being thrown at me. I hope that it simply will be the most apparent thing, and the most impossible to deny.

Reader, I want you to know that I am truly pleased with the work God is doing here. In seeing so much more of my lovely Jesus, its becoming more apparent that we have so much more to learn.

Chelsy.

Hahaha i Hope you don't think it's creepy that i'm reading your blog. But i find it super interesting. And this post really made me think. (Plus I'm in you Sociology class(This is Katie by the way, if you didn't catch on)) and i love travel, and learning about new cultures and understanding how things work around the world. I know exactly what you are saying when you feel like you've only seen the world from one perspective. I feel the exact same way. I feel that learning and understanding are two of the most important things in the world. Also, on a side note, your apparent connection with God is incredible, and i envy you for that, because i feel that is one thing i have yet to learn and understand in my life. Also you've semi-inspired me to start my own blog, because this looks like it would be a lot of fun. =)
