Woman After Your Own Heart.

Dear Reader,

Today was good. I finally got to spend some good time with Lindsay and we're going through the discipleship.. thing. She refuses to call it "module" because it sounds all scientific. Ha! Not to mention it was just a wonderful day.
I've been thinking a lot about what it means to be a mature woman. You see, we know what immature and mature boys look like (scratch that, mature men). For instance:
Immature men:

• make crude jokes
• hit on women 
• don't stand up for truth
• aren't responsible for themselves
• don't lead

Mature men obviously do the opposite and well beyond these things. Truthfully, society even knows the difference (for the most part) between a mature man and an immature boy, although they do not see the strong spiritual sides. But women seem to get off easy.
I really want to challenge myself, in hopes that maybe the Lord can use it someday, to becoming this woman more and more every day. As far as I can see this woman should at least be something like this:

• dependent on the Lord alone
• compassionate
• of a quiet spirit
• strong
• confident
• seeking the good of others (caring)
• self-sacrificing

among other things.. Proverbs 31 floats through my head, but so do other women, who I just adore. I just pray tonight for God to reveal more mature women. I hope that the world begins to look for them more often and uphold them.
